The labs, a University of Washington facility, are largely aimed at investigating the biology of invertebrates. However, there are classes in various aspects of fish biology, biomechanics, and even occasionally paleontology.
Since 1993 I have been involved in a biennial course on the functional morphology and ecology of marine fishes. It has been a wonderful place to interact with graduate students, learn new tools, and work with a diversity of fishes. Recently some of my research has taken me to FHL as well. |
