In 2000 I started work with Pixar Animation Studio as a consultant on their hit movie Finding Nemo. Here are some descriptions of the movie and the role I played. Without doubt the Pixar folks are the most talented, dedicated, and fun people I have ever worked with. They were genuinely concerned that the biology be as accurate as possible. Without exception they used the natural history of coral reefs to build the story rather than thinking of the biology as a constraint or an unimportant issue. I would sign on for Nemo II in a heart beat.
